What Is An Association?
This Body shall be known as THE CENTRAL HUDSON BAPTIST ASSOCIATION, and be composed of a Parent Body and various Auxiliaries, and Departments, namely;
A CONGRESS OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
A LAYMEN’S AUXILIARY and A JUNIOR LAYMEN’S DEPARTMENT
A WOMEN’S AUXILIARY and A YOUNG PEOPLE’S DEPARTMENT
AN USHER’S DEPARTMENT
This Body shall be designated in this constitution as the Association.
The objectives of the Association shall include throughout the Association District, the promotion of the preaching of the Gospel; the fostering of ministerial and general education including doctrines, polity, and practices of the Baptist Church; the support of Home and Foreign Missions and Christian Schools; the fostering of aid to needy Baptist Churches within the District, with opportunity for the expression of the moral, social, and denominational matters; the gathering of statistical and other information from member churches as shall be deemed proper and useful; the encouragement of denominational unity and efficiency throughout the Associational District.
